A new tune in 11/8, not quite a slip jig, not quite a slide, so I call it a clipped slide.
I enjoyed putting this demo recording together with guitars, handclaps and a very percussive kettle!

The Magical Slide
The Magical Slide (Clipped Slide)
In January 2021 I came up with the idea of composing a Slide with a missing beat, a tune form I’m calling a Clipped Slide. This changes the rhythm from 12/8 to 11/8, a metre more associated with Bulgarian music. To see what it might sound like I played around with the second half of the Bunbeg Slip Slide, changing its mode and moving some notes about to create this tune.
