Award-winning guitarist/composer Dave Flynn brings audiences on a fantastical musical voyage across the globe with his new show ‘Around the World in 80 Minutes’. Well known to audiences for his work with Martin Hayes, Máirtín O’Connor and the Irish Memory Orchestra, Flynn has toured solo around Japan, New Zealand and Europe.
His cosmopolitan spirit and masterful guitar skills combine for an intoxicating musical cocktail. Brazilian Bossa Nova and Spanish Flamenco dance alongside inventive imitations of Indian Sitar, African Kora and Japanese Koto music.
This event includes a healthy dose of Irish music selected from his albums Draíocht and Contemporary Traditional Irish Guitar. New music composed especially for this tour rounds off this adventurous journey around the world of guitar music.
