Programme Note

These two ‘songs’ have no real meaning, well maybe they do, but they are nonsensical really and are as much influenced by Monty Python and Spike Milligan as anyone else.

Didgeridoo‘ is simply a vocal imitation of a didgeridoo. The singer is given some written instructions on how to produce didgeridooish sounds and then improvises using certain guidelines.

Floccinaucinihilipilification‘ is all about words and it features some of the longest words in the English language including the longest Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis, which is the last word in the song. Incidentally, Floccinaucinihilipilification means ‘an estimation of something as worthless’, perhaps it is an apt title for this nonsense song then!
