Say No To Streaming!
As of today, all Frisbee Records releases are available exclusively through Bandcamp and my website.
Frisbee Records is my own label, on which most of my music has been released over the years. I’ve decided to remove Frisbee Records’ catalog from mainstream streaming services because they aren’t equitable for artists.
Bandcamp, on the other hand, has a model which is fair to artists. The best way to support my recorded music though is direct purchases through my website and my live shows.
If you’re puzzled by my decision, I hope this fact will help clear it up!
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek is worth 6.8 billion dollars, yet the average Spotify artist earns $12 a month from streaming! He is just one of many billionaires making ridiculous profits out of musician’s work through the streaming model.
Streaming works ok for the megastar pop artists, but terribly for those of us outside the mainstream. So, I’m not playing along anymore!
