_Morton Feldman
seems to have
become the
composers' composer
of the late
20th Century.
 
There are at least 143 works
dedicated to him.
Festivals are often
 dedicated to him.

At the risk of sounding
out of step with modern trends
 I have to say
I don't believe the hype.
 
To me Feldman was
an interesting character,
with some good ideas
but his music mostly
leaves me cold.

As an antidote to all these pieces
'for Morton Feldman'
